Rescue helicopters being returned to combat
The U.S. Army MAST, Military Assistance to Safety and Traffic, rescue helicopters at Fort Lewis that have saved many lives in the central Puget Sound area over the past 33 years are returning to a combat-only role, delivering a major blow to local search and rescue operations.
