Pentagon says Pope base won't lose all Air Force personnel
In a letter dated July 14 to the Base Closure and Realignment Commission, the Pentagon said five U.S. Air Force units would remain at the Pope air base after two wings that command cargo and fighter planes are sent elsewhere.
