The World's First Microprocessor Chip SetUnkown to many people, the Central Air Data Computer (CADC) in the F-14A was considered by many as the first microprocessor. The CADC controls the moving surfaces of the aircraft and the displaying of pilot information. The U.S. Navy considered the design as so advanced that it was until 1998 that the information was declassified. Thus the CADC is unknown today.
