DASSAULT AVIATION : Rafale edged out in Singapore
Dassault has concede defeat in the Singapore competition.
The company said that the Rafale offered Singapore an opportunity to have another source for its air defense needs.
It gave two main reasons for defeat.
- the dollar's current weakness is a definite handicap for the economic competitiveness of the French offer;
- America's power might once again bore out the old Chinese proverb: Bamboo always leans the way it's pushed the hardest .
And I strongly agree with the second one.
