Boeing says 767 remains a viable US tanker plane
Boeing said that it will still offer the 767 as a tanker to the USAF even if it has to pause the production of the aircraft.
John Sams, vice president of Air Force systems for Boeing, said the 777 might be offered if the Air Force favours a bigger plane.
He said less than half the modifications made to convert the 767 into a tanker could be transferred to the 777.
