Chirac orders 'toxic' ship home
French President Jacques Chirac on Wednesday ordered the retired aircraft carrier Clemenceau back to French waters after its highest court ordered her to stay out of Indian waters, pending a suit by environmental campaigners.
There will be an inquiry to clarify how much asbestos had been removed after a 30-tonne discrepancy emerged between the amount of asbestos said taken off the Clemenceau and the amount weighed by disposal teams.
