New $15bn stealth fighters not so speedy
Australia has expressed concern that Pentagon has downgraded the stealth capability of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter from "extremely low observable" to "very low observable".
Defence Minister Brendan Nelson said he is taking the news "seriously" but that will not cause Canberra to abandon the project.
