Air Force is no longer 'Chair Force'
The U.S. Air Force has gone macho. Long ridiculed by rival services as the "Chair Force," recruits at Lackland Air Force Base now have to go through combat skills training to prepare them for assignments in the Middle East.
The Air Force plans to add two weeks to its training schedule to include more familiarization with weapons and a week of intensified exposure to field tactics from next year.
