Bush hints at accepting Futenma plan
U.S. President George W. Bush indicated that he is willing to accept a deal struck last week between the Japanese government and local authorities for relocating an air base in Okinawa.
The deal changes some construction plan that Tokyo and Washington agreed in October to relocate Futenma air base within Okinawa Prefecture.
