DoD Official: Rudimentary Missile Defense System in Place
The U.S. Senate's strategic forces subcommittee was told that a rudimentary missile defense system is in place.
The system currently has the ability to intercept an incoming long-range ballistic missile. However it is not as capable today as they will be in the future.
