Spitfires in Singapore Peter Giddens was a pilot fresh out of training flying the Meteor when he was posted to Singapore to fly the Spitfire for No 81 Squadron at RAF Seletar. This is the account of his first flight on a Spitfire Mk XVIII on Jan. 12 1952.
