BA609 tiltrotor second prototype achieves first flight
The second Bell/Agusta BA609 prototype a/c 60002 went airborne for the first time on Nov. 9 at AgustaWestland's facility located on the Italian Air Force airfield at Cameri, Italy.
During the 52 minutes flight, the aircraft made left and right peddle turns, forward and aft flight maneuvers, several take-offs and landings, nacelle position changes and stability tests.
