Panel: 'Hanit' attack was preventable
A panel of Israeli Navy officials investigating the missile strike on INS Hanit concluded that the strike could have been prevented.
The investigation found that a senior naval officer had deactivated the Barak missile defense system on the ship an hour before the attack without notifying the captain.
