Japan's Navy Denies Practice Invasion
The Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force on Saturday denied that the recently held Annualex 18G exercise with the USS Kitty Hawk battle group simulated a Chinese invasion of disputed islands.
Kyodo News agency said one of the drills addressed a hypothetical Chinese military invasion of a group of uninhabited islands called Diaoyu in Chinese and Senkaku in Japanese that both Tokyo and Beijing claim.
