JFK To Be Decommmissioned Next Month USS John F. Kennedy will be decommissioned on Mar. 23 at a ceremony in Mayport, Florida.

It will be kept in a "state of preservation" until the USS George H.W. Bush is commissioned in 2008 or 2009.
