U.S. Denies Fighter Jet Sale Pressure
U.S. Ambassador to India David Mulford denied Tuesday that India is under pressure to buy fighter jets from United States.
"There is an expectation among U.S. companies, the public and the political class that we have helped India, and that the U.S. companies should get a favorable treatment," Mulford said.
"But that's not the same thing as saying there was a negotiated quid pro quo," Mulford added.
