Aircraft dedicated to fallen Navy aviator
An F-14D Tomcat static display aircraft at the main gate of Arnold Air Force Base has been dedicated to Lt. Kara Hultgreen, the U.S. Navy's first female carrier-based combat fighter pilot.
Hultgreen was killed in 1994 when the F-14 she piloted experienced engine failure on final approach and crashed in the Pacific Ocean.
