F-15 loses canopy after takeoff A USAF F-15C assigned to the 85th Test and Evaluation Squadron from Eglin Air Force Base loses its canopy while taking off at Nellis Air Force Base on Apr. 4.

The pilot was able to land the aircraft without further incident.
