IAF seeks more AWACS aircraft to counter missile threats
The Indian Air Force wants to field an additional two IL-76 Phalcon AWACS to bring the fleet total to five.
India ordered three aircraft and the first Phalcon is expected to be delivered in September. The additional two will be delivered by 2009.
