Mechanical failure blamed for helicopter deaths
A British coroner ruled Thursday that the deaths of eight British soldiers in a USMC CH-46 crash in Kuwait on Mar. 21, 2003 was the result of mechanical failure.
A British inquiry concluded that technical failure was responsible for crash. But senior British officials rejected that finding and accepted a U.S. investigation which blamed pilot disorientation.
