Northrop Grumman Selected for Alternative Satellite Research and Development Effort
Northrop Grumman Corporation has been selected by the U.S. Air Force's Space and Missile Systems Center for a contract worth up to $21.9 million for the Alternative Infrared Satellite System (AIRSS) Program Research and Development Announcement (PRDA) effort.
AIRSS is a risk reduction initiative to develop requirements and a viable design that will enable the government to prepare a procurement package for both an AIRSS demonstration system and the subsequent AIRSS objective system.
