US objected to end of BAE inquiry
Washington sent two separate diplomatic protests to London over the cancellation of an inquiry into alleged bribery by BAE Systems.
The first protest was made at a meeting of the Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
The second was at a subsequent meeting in London, where an official from the U.S. embassy made the same point with a junior British official.
