The Wars of Eighty-Two
Two short air wars in 1982, one in the South Atlantic and the other in the Middle East, taught some lasting lessons.

The United States had no direct role in either, but the equipment and tactics used by the winning sides were familiar to Americans then—and are even more familiar now.
