Belarusian army has no plans to remove S-200 long-range missile systems from service, general says
Ihar Azaronak, chief of Belarus' Air/Air Defense Forces, said there are no plans to remove its S-200 (NATO SA-5) long-range surface-to-air missile systems from service.
"We don't have substitutes for them so far," the general said. "They can perform certain tasks, that's why it would be an ill-considered step to drop something that you don't have a substitute for."
