The Blue Bird legend
A new movie produced by the Israel Intelligence Heritage and Commemoration Center (IICC) and Channel 1 has unveiled the secrets of operation "The Blue Bird – Operation Diamond," an attempt to obtain a MiG-21.
The movie contains footage of Iraqi Capt. Munir Redfa, who flew the MiG-21 to Israel, flying with IAF intelligence chief at the time, Colonel Shayke Barkat, while he was in Israel to be briefed on the defection.
