C-5 may receive 2-year reprieve
U.S. Rep. Jim Marshall wants the U.S. Air Force to retire its oldest C-5 only after the 189th C-17 is delivered.

This would push the C-5A decision into June 2009. But the Air Force has been pushing Congress to lift all restrictions on retirement of the 40-year-old C-5A.
