China intent on aircraft carrier goal
Adm. Timothy J. Keating, head of U.S. Pacific Command, said he found Chinese military leaders intensely interested in acquiring aircraft carriers during his recent visit.
Keating said all of the Chinese leaders with whom he spoke during his visit indicated their inclination to pursue the development of aircraft carriers.
