Congress may zap 747 laser program
Boeing and its ABL partners -- Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman warned Tuesday that the U.S. Congress may "cripple" the ABL program with budget cuts.

The ABL team decided to go public after the U.S. House Armed Services strategic forces subcommittee last week slashed $400 million from the Missile Defense Agency's $549 million request for the ABL program in the 2008 defense authorization bill.
