DEBKAfile Exclusive: US and Israel eye with concern Russian test-flight Tuesday of the modernized version of the Iskander-M tactical cruise missile
DEBka said that Tel Aviv and Washington will be monitoring today's test of the Iskander-M short range ballistic missile (SRBM) by Russia as they are worried about its capabilities.
U.S. officials believe the Iskander-M is the new-generation missile to which Russian officials are referring as being capable of striking the interceptors and radar station they plan to install in Europe.
Israelies are worried that the missile, being sold to Syria, could allow Syria to mount a surprise attack undetected.
