First squadron of LCA 'Tejas' to be placed down south India's Tejas Light Combat Aircraft will be deployed south in Tamil Nadu when it enters service in 2009.

Thanjavur , Sulur and Tiruchirapalli are shortlisted as possible candidate sites.
