GAC suggests AF be more frugal with jets
The U.S. Air Force thought that it can stealthily fool Congress into buying one F-35 to replace an F-16 that crash in Iraq last year.

At the same time, it wanted permission to retire more F-16s. Congress' Government Accountability Office saw through the smoke screen and suggested that the service simply retire one less F-16.
