Philippines: $133M for New Helicopters
Philippines Defense Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane said at a forum with foreign correspondents that his country has earmarked 6.2 billion pesos ($133 million) for new helicopters.
1.2 billion pesos ($25.5 million) was earlier set aside for attack helicopters and President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will release an additional 5 billion pesos ($106 million) for more attack and utility helicopters.
