Airwake Analysis Keeps Navy Ships Safe for Aviation
The Airwake Analysis team at Naval Air Station Patuxent River is using a combination of simulators, wind tunnels and Computational Fluid Dynamics to determine airwake on the new USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier.
Determining the airwake is important so that aircraft can trap safely on board.
