RAF seeks improved airdrop system for C-130J, A400M
The RAF wants to replace its 1950s airdrop capability with new technology by April 2009.
The winning system must be able to airdrop 25,000lb from 8,000ft and must be compatible with the C-130J's and A400M's common 2.7m (9ft)-wide cargo handling system.
