Syria complains to U.N. about Israeli airstrike CNN reports that the Israeli incursion into northern Syria last week was to conduct an air strike against weapons that were destined for the Hezbollah.



The strike was confirmed by a U.S. defense official that they are happy to have Israel carry the message to both Syria and Iran that they can get in and out and strike when necessary.
