Performance dispute puts Israeli Apache buy on hold
Jane's reported that Israel has stalled plans to buy six AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopters due to performance disputes with Boeing.
The dispute arises from a crash of a IAF Apache during the Second Lebanon War. The crash of the Apache on Jul. 24, 2006 was a result of the unique flight envelope employed by the IAF, investigations concluded.
However the IAF wants to delay the additional purchase until the disputes are settled.
