Flying Hornets still up in the air Australian Defence Force chief, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, has distanced himself from the controversial F/A-18F deal.

Houston say the aircraft was a "very good choice" but he feels that the original assessment of the capability gap may not be enough.
