Fitzgibbon critical of Super Hornet deal Australian Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon complained that the former Howard government paid too much for 24 Boeing Super Hornets.

"The taxpayer will pay the price either way. If the project is to be canceled, there would be a penalty."
