Russia to start flight tests of fifth-generation fighter in 2009 The Russian industry and energy minister said on Thursday that Sukhoi's fifth-generation fighter will begin flight tests in 2009.

The aircraft will be built at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aircraft-manufacturing plant in Russia's Far East.
