General McNabb assumes command of USTRANSCOM Gen. Duncan J. McNabb assumed command of U.S. Transportation Command in a ceremony Sept. 5.

Secretary of Defense Dr. Robert M. Gates presided at the ceremony in which McNabb became the ninth USTRANSCOM commander.
