The US Navy: Charting a Course for Tomorrow's Fleet (PDF)
Robert Work from the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments has warned the U.S. Navy that its focus on building a 313-ship fleet could lead to other important strategic capabilities being ignored.
Among his recommendations were: reduced the number of nuclear-powered carriers being build from one every four years to one every five years, and consider accelerating the UCAS demonstration program and its operational debut.
