Israel failed to gain assurance on S-300 sale to Iran from Russians
A recently retired Israeli official said Russia only gave vague assurance to Israel that it will not sell the S-300 missile defense system to Iran.
The Israeli Haaretz newspaper earlier said the deal will not go ahead after Israel promised to sell UAVs to Russia.
