F135 engine damaged during ground tests
A F135 engine had been damaged during a supersonic high-cycle fatigue test. The engine was 2,455 cycles into a 2,600-cycle durability test.
Pratt & Whitney says a "handful" of blades on the first and section fan stages were damaged.
