Northrop Grumman says latest KC-X contest unfair, Boeing and Pentagon doesn't think so
Northrop Grumman says the latest KC-X competition is unfair as its competitor Boeing was given pricing from the previous tanker competition but access to the same information was denied to the company.
"It is fundamentally unfair, and distorts any new competition, to provide such critical information to only one of the bidders," said Paul Meyer, the company's tanker program manager.
The Pentagon, Air Force and Boeing however disagree to that as the the information created no competitive disadvantage "because the data in question are inaccurate, outdated and not germane to this source-selection strategy."
