Pentagon eyes range of weapons, not single bomber
U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary William Lynn said on Thursday that the Pentagon is looking for a portfolio of weapons, not a single new bomber for its future global strike requirements.
"So we will be maturing a portfolio of capabilities, manned and unmanned, penetrating and standoff, ballistic and cruise missile," he told the conference hosted by the Institute for Foreign Policy Analysis and Tufts University.
