Russian admits Bulava SLBM has design flaws
Russia has admitted for the first time that the Bulava SLBM has a design flaw. An investigation into December's failure found that the problem lies in the third stage of the rocket.
Earlier official statements had blamed the failures on faulty components, attempts to replace specific materials with cheaper substitutes and obsolete manufacturing equipment.
