South Korea willing to discuss with U.S. on regional BMD system
South Korea is warming up to the idea of joining a U.S.-led regional ballistic missile defense system.
A senior defense official was quoted as saying: "We are wiling to discuss our participation in a regional MD system in response to the North's missile threat."
Previously, the country has been unwilling to join any BMD system in order not to provoke North Korea, China and Russia.
