Weapons Survivability Laboratory to test AAA on 737
To carry the P-8A Poseidon Live-Fire Test and Evaluation (LFTE) Program, NAWCWD Weapons Survivability Laboratory (WSL) found an old Boeing 737 that it will use to conduct tests.
LFTE tests involve shooting various sections of the plane with different anti-aircraft rounds that it might encounter in theater. Engineers then assess the damage and use that data to improve an aircraft’s survivability.
