Brazilian air force now prefers Rafale as inquiry open into the contest
Brazil's Defense Minister Nelson Jobim said on Wednesday that the air force now prefers the Rafale fighter.
Jobim said the air force "considered the Rafale to be more consistent with defense policies despite its costs."
In the meantime, Brazilian prosecutors have agreed to open an inquiry into the fighter contest after an individual argued that the preference for France's Rafale was against "economic principles."
