F-15Cs with AESA to protect F-22s
In this report by David A. Fulghum, USAF officials say upgraded F-15Cs with AESA radars will support and protect F-22s during an air battle.
The Eagles will serve as a "stand-in" electronic warfare jamming and attack aircraft protecting the attack force and use its air-to-air missiles to supplement limited numbers carried by the F-22s.
